Class - English Paper Piecing with Lilabelle Lane Four 2017 dates to choose from
Sharon Burgess of Lilabelle Lane is an extraordinary maker. The images you see here are all her work. In April 2017 her first book, Quilting on the Go was released.
For Beginners - you will learn the basics of EPP, how to make basic hexagon flowers, using one inch hexies, scrap busting, fussy cutting (which gives the most extraordinary effects), and then we will migrate through more complex shapes and projects.
For the more experienced crafters - wanting to tackle something more significant, you have your choice of projects. AND each class there will be a not yet released pattern made available to you, so you really get the inside scoop.
No limits. Sharon will have samples with her and of course her La Passacaglia Quilt, (a stunning example of EPP). Class numbers are capped at ten, so these will be hands on classes, with direct one on one assistance from your amazing teacher.
Your class fee includes coffee on arrival, class notes, lunch and snacks.
Requirements will be few to start with. Some one inch hexie papers, a Sue Daly glue stick, size 11 Milliners needles and your usual sewing kit. These will all be hand work.
And the important and unpleasant topic of money and cancellations. Our classes have limited spaces, and there is often more interest than places. For this reason PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, check the dates before you book and be positively-sure (in an absolute YES way) you will be able to come. Class bookings are final and cancellations or inability to come will result in forfeit of payment. It seems terribly harsh, but we need to be fair to everyone who has shown an interest. Obviously we are human and genuine emergencies will be treated with compassion, but please be sure at the time of booking.
